Updated Regulations for Par, PBS, and Government-Sponsored Program Providers Now Available

In 2017 we updated the Highmark Blue Shield Regulations for Participating Providers, Premier Blue Shield Providers, and Government-Sponsored Program Providers.* The updated Regulations inadvertently omitted the following provisions that were in previous versions of the document: Indemnification, Provider Information, and Solo Practitioner.

These provisions have been added back into the Regulations at the end of Part I, and you can download and save a copy for your practice office or facility for future reference. Please retain these important Regulations for your records.

*This set of Regulations is a comprehensive set that contains provisions applicable to more than one network. Highmark requires underlying network contracts to be executed for each such applicable network, including, without limitation, a Participating Provider Agreement for the Participating Provider Network, a Premier Blue Shield Agreement for the Premier Blue Shield Provider Network, and/or a Government-Sponsored Provider Agreement for the Government-Sponsored Programs Provider Network, subject to Highmark’s discretion to offer such contracts. The inclusion of multiple networks in this comprehensive set of Regulations does not act as an offer or an agreement for any network.
